The legendary fine-sand shore

Cleopatra Beach

Alanya Sea & Beach

Stretching west of the castle, Cleopatra Beach is Alanya's most famous beach, known for its fine sand, clear water and castle views.

About

Cleopatra Beach is a long fine-sand shore stretching west of the peninsula. According to legend, the Egyptian queen Cleopatra once swam here, which gave the beach its name.

With clear, gently sloping water, a seaside promenade and cafés, it suits families and water-sports fans alike. Damlataş Cave and the cable car station are at the castle end of the beach.

At sunset the silhouette of the castle above the sea makes it a favourite spot for evening walks as well.
